CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Play an active role in CHECK 2006 by submitting a proposal on one of the
many important IT topics in higher education. The deadline for
submissions is March 14, 2006 . *Submit your proposal via email to
check2006@k-state.edu <mailto: check2006@k-state.edu>. *Include “Check
2006 Proposal” in the subject.

You may also send suggestions for topics you would like to learn about
at the CHECK 2006 conference.

As a presenter, you'll not only help create an innovative and
informative program, you will spotlight your institution's achievements
and facilitate progress in the academic community.

Presentations may take one of the following forms, or you may suggest an
alternative format:

· *Lecture-style presentations* are the traditional format in which a
paper is presented with limited audience interaction. Time for questions
and answers is encouraged. 45 minute time limit.

· *Panel discussions* consist of a panel of multiple speakers, each
offering a perspective on an issue or set of issues. Time for questions
and answers is encouraged. 45 minute time limit.

· *Campus perspectives* presentations share the experiences of several
( two to four ) institutions dealing with the same challenge on their
respective campuses. Time for questions and answers is encouraged. 45
minute time limit.

*Please include the following when submitting a proposal:*

· Title

· Presentation style (see above for descriptions)

· Abstract, 250 words maximum. Abstract should include the following
details:

o Statement of problem or issue

o Description of activity, project, or solution

o Outcome

o Importance or relevance for other institution

· Name(s) of presenter(s)

· Requested equipment (i.e. internet connection, projector, etc)

· Contact information: Name, title, phone number, and email address
