The Conference on Higher Education Computing in Kansas (CHECK) is an annual gathering of information technology professionals in post-secondary institutions in Kansas to present, discuss, and learn about new technologies and current issues in providing IT services to the higher education community. Sessions cover a wide variety of timely topics in a variety of formats that include an invited keynote, panel discussions, individual presentations, and BoFs. It is a valuable time to hear how others around the state are addressing issues common to all of us and to network with colleagues. A pre-conference golf tournament and an evening banquet and social time offer additional opportunities for more informal interactions. 2-year, 4-year, public, private, technical - all Kansas higher education institutions are encouraged to participate. CHECK is sponsored by the Regents Information Technology Council (RITC - see http://www.kansasregents.org/board/committees/computer.html and coordinated by the Information Technology and Services Advisory subcommittee of RITC (ITSA). Hosting the event rotates among the seven RITC member institutions. The CHECK 2006 will take place on May 23-24 at Kansas State University. The conference web site each year is http://www.check.gen.ks.us . If you have any questions, contact check2006@k-state.edu . All conference participants are encouraged to visit k-state.edu/infotech/guest/ for information about the K-State campus. |
